Technology

Butte County is dedicated in integrating technology into our classrooms. To that end, teachers use technology in a variety of ways every day. To meet technology needs, the elementary school has a cart with 30 iPads that is available to teachers for checkout. Computers are also available in every classroom. Third through Sixth grade have enough Chromebooks in their classrooms for each student. There is also a mobile computer lab that teachers can check out for their daily classroom instruction.

The Middle/High School have 2 mobile computer carts that can be moved from room to room. A 27 iPad cart is available to check out for classroom use.

The 2015/16 school year the  school implemented 1-1 computing.  Each student is assigned a laptop or Chromebook that they can take home for school and personal use.  The device will be turned back into the school when the student graduates or moves from the district.

The technology director is responsible for keeping the network running smoothly, ordering of software and hardware, keeping our district up to date with state technology requirements, training for staff, and preparing the  district computers for ISAT and SBAC testing.

The District's Acceptable Use Policy for computers covers expectations for computer and internet use in Butte County School District. Students and all employees who wish to use a computer in the district must sign and return an acceptable use policy form.
